Frequently Asked Questions

About our group classes program

What is the class size for group classes ?

Class sizes vary depending on the program. Our choirs can accommodate 15-25 singers for a full ensemble sound, while specialized classes like Marimba or Guitar Ensemble are kept smaller at 8-12 students to ensure personalized attention and proper instrument technique development.

Can I try a class before comminting to the full session ?

Yes! We offer trial classes for all our group programs. This allows you or your child to experience the teaching style, meet the instructor, and feel the group dynamic before enrolling in the full session.

Do I need prior experience to join ?

Our group classes welcome all skill levels! However, to ensure the best learning experience, we thoughtfully group students in certain classes. For band and marimba classes, we match students with similar skill levels so everyone can progress together. For choir classes, we keep age ranges in mind, especially for our younger students, to create the most supportive and engaging environment.

Are there performance oppotunities ?

Absolutely! Sharing music is at the heart of what we do. We create multiple performance opportunities throughout the year, including beautiful end-of-year showcases, casual concerts at the end of each session, and participation in community events. These performances aren't just recitals—they're celebrations of growth, confidence-building milestones, and opportunities to connect with audiences. We believe that sharing music with others is one of the most powerful and joyful parts of the musical journey.

What if my child miss a class ?

We understand that life happens! Due to the ensemble nature of our group classes, makeup sessions aren't available. Regular attendance is important because the group learns and grows together—each student contributes to the collective energy and progress. We encourage students who miss a class to connect with classmates or arrive a few minutes early to the next session to catch up on what they missed.

Do I need to bring my own instrument ?

For Guitar and String Ensemble classes, students should bring their own instruments. For Marimba, Hip Hop, Musical Theater, and Choir classes, all necessary equipment and materials are provided. We'll let you know exactly what to bring when you register.
